2012 Chateau Montelena, Chardonnay, Napa, CA
Chateau Montelena’s Chardonnay helped put California at the forefront of the wine world by winning the white wine category against French and other California whites in what is known as the 1976 Judgement of Paris. Aromas of floral and citrus, opulent palate with a vibrant acidity and finishes with orange zest and the lingering richness of crème brûlée.
2014 J. Lohr, Arroyo Vista Chardonnay, Arroyo Seco, Monterey, CA
92 pts Wine Enthusiast: “Aromas of orange bread, jasmine and poached Asian pear cling to a steely edge on the nose of this sharp and zesty bottling. Mouthwateringly ripe flavors of yellow pear, toasted almond, cashew and sea salt play on the palate.”
2010 Neyers, Chardonnay, Vendemia, Sonoma Valley, CA
Founded in 1992 by Bruce and Barbara Neyers. In 2002, Wine & Spirits named Neyers Vineyards the Artisan Winery of the Year. This Chardonnay has ripe rich fruit, spicy apple and pear with great body and richness.
2012 Frank Family, Chardonnay Reserve, Lewis Vineyard, Napa Valley, CA
93 pts Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The stunning 2012 Chardonnay Lewis Reserve is one of the stars of the vintage. Poached pear, tangerine oil, honeysuckle and subtle oak are all present in this full-bodied, classic Napa Chardonnay... a combination of the richness of the New World and the more nuanced complexity of Burgundy."
